Battle For Dream Island's Comic Con Panel is Open to the Public
No badge needed for OSC fans in the San Diego area
Battle For Dream Island is presenting at Comic Con International in San Diego this week, but their panel will take place outside of the convention center itself.
That means that, even though it’s an official Comic Con event, you don’t need to have a Comic Con International badge to enter. Fans who want to join panelists Michael and Cary Huang (creators, directors, and writers of BFDI), showrunner Samuel Thornbury, and writer/director/voice actor Satomi Hinatsu can do so free of charge.
“BFDI: The SDCC Panel” will serve as a west coast stop on the current Battle For Dream Island and Inanimate Insanity world tour.

“We have now finished week two of our tour,” Michael Huang told me. “I flew in from Atlanta last night, and the day after tomorrow I’ll be flying to Houston, which is where the rest of our tour crew already went, but then I split off to San Diego.”
He added, “There’s only three people in our whole touring staff, including me, that are going to all eight events. Every city has a different lineup. Every city has a different roster.”
Here’s how Jacknjellify describes the panel, which takes place at 11 a.m. PT tomorrow at the Neil Morgan Auditorium at the San Diego Central Library:
“Battle for Dream Island, the web series with more than 2.6 billion views that has played in theaters across the country, comes to SDCC with behind-the-scenes stories, insights into the making of the show, advice for aspiring indie animators and voice actors, a fan Q&A, and never-before-seen footage. Moderated by Multi Puliyze (voice actor for BFDI), with Michael Huang and Cary Huang (creators, directors, and writers of BFDI), Samuel Thornbury (showrunner, director, and writer for BFDI), and Satomi Hinatsu (director, writer, and voice actor for BFDI).”
