DC "Hair Toucher" and Stalker of Women Goes To Jail

This week the “DC Metro train hair toucher” who become momentarily known to everyone on the internet as a creepy as fuck weirdo when he live streamed videos online of him fondling women’s hair has been sentenced to jail. The fondler Bryan Betancur posted that livestream on Twitter with the caption, “Blondes are a good adventure.”

Betancur was convicted and given 180 days earlier this week after a one day bench trial. According to DCNewsNow he “will get credit for about 128 days of time served, meaning he’ll serve another 52 days. NBC Washington quoted the judge as saying that “He is terrorizing the community.”

Betancur spoke briefly, said he was dealing with mental health issues and asked the judge to be “a little fair.”

The judge responded directly, saying, “I don’t intend to be a little fair; I intend to be completely fair.”

Betancur was pardoned by President Donald Trump for his actions on January 6th. According to an FBI agents affidavit, he is a self-proclaimed white supremacist, voiced homicidal ideations and made comments about conducting a school shooting. He also voiced support of James Fields, the man that murdered Heather Heyer at the Unite the Right Rally in Charlottesville nine years ago this month. He also expressed a want to become a “lone wolf killer.

January 6th and his assault of women on a train aren’t his only crimes. While still on probation and wearing an ankle monitor in 2022 he began his harassment campaign against activist Anarch-y Princess. According to Anarch-y Princess aka Brianne Chapman who spoke to me via twitter saying “he proceeded to call me a whore, told me to go back to the kitchen, close my legs, etc. I walked away and he continued to follow me. He circled around me with his phone up to show me, and said, “Look, I was on the news”. It was his J6 arrest for wearing an ankle monitor. I googled him later that night and sent a video of him creeping on me to the federal prosecutor.”

Betancur has other charges that he will be tried for coming soon as Brianne is not the only woman that he has stalked and threatened. Friend and journalist Amanda Moore has also been targeted by Betancur. He has regularly harassed her in person (something I’ve witnessed first hand) and online sending her death threats. He also gave her a Nazi salute at two different events.

His obsessive stalking hasn’t stopped at women either. Anytime I appear in Washington DC so does Bryan. Earlier this year at a Patriot Front rally he confronted me, saying that I was going to jail (likely having to do with my interviewing people in Minneapolis, it was an online thing for a couple days). I started asking him about his foot fetish (he had commented on women’s feet online) which caused him to run away, clearly not wanting to be embarrassed in front of Patriot Front.

Even more recent he appeared at State of the Union event that journalist Ford Fischer and I were covering to stand and stare at us.

Unfortunately the Bryan Betancur story will continue as the judicial system is not set up to deal with people like him. He’ll neither receive the mental health support that he clearly needs nor spend any real time in jail preventing him from his threats and harassment of women in the District. After this last sentencing his lawyer immediately asked to be released from representing him.
