Shrinking Comes to DVD in October

The first two seasons of Shrinking, the Apple TV dramedy from Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence, is coming to DVD on October 20, according to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

The set will include 22 episodes across the first two seasons of the acclaimed series starring Jason Segel, Harrison Ford, and Deadly Class standout Luke Tennie. The acclaimed series reunites Lawrence with a number of his frequent collaborators, including Ted Lasso’s Brett Goldstein, Scrubs’s Neil Goldman, and Spin City’s Randall Winston.

Apple TV’s lineup of series has among the best batting averages in the streaming space. They are also less averse to physical media releases than most other streamers. The complete series of Ted Lasso has become an evergreen seller on Walmart’s (greatly-reduced) DVD shelves over the last year.

Shrinking follows Jimmy Laird (Segel), a grieving therapist who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives — including his own.

Shrinking stars Emmy Award nominee Jason Segel and multi-award winner Harrison Ford, Christa Miller, Emmy Award nominee Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Emmy Award nominee Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell and Ted McGinley. Nominated for ten Primetime Emmy Awards this year, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Shrinking has been renewed for a fourth season on Apple TV.

Shrinking is produced by Warner Bros. Television (where Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein are under overall deals), along with Lawrence’s Doozer Productions. Lawrence, Segel, Goldstein, Neil Goldman, Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, Randall Winston, Rachna Fruchbom, Ashley Nicole Black and Bill Posley executive produce.
