Small Crowd for Mace's "Mother of All Town Halls," Calls for Investigations into Chemtrails, Sucks up to Trump.

Congresswoman Nancy Mace announced her candidacy for South Carolina Governor earlier this week - she followed up on Wednesday with a self proclaimed "Mother of All Town Halls." The event was packed at the Veterans Cafe and Memorial in Myrtle Beach. The venue was small for a town hall, especially a "Mother of All Town Halls" and didn't see much action as other Republican town halls have. All of the questions were friendly.

The Veterans Cafe and Memorial is essentially a diner in a strip mall. The walls are covered in military memorabilia and TV’s playing FoxNews.

Even the bathroom had political commentary. The men’s toilet had an image of favorite rightwing target Jane Fonda, acting as a literal target.

The cafe was clearly picked to not be a friendly or open space for anyone that might counter Mace’s strongly help bigoted and conspiratorial beliefs. The venue held less than 100 people and perplexingly continued to attempt to serve food throughout the 90 min event.

While the promotion of the event claimed that it would be a “Mother of All Town Halls” it was for the most part commentary from Mace. She spoke considerably about her love of Donald Trump and all that she’s done for him, desperately asking for his endorsement.

Mace told story after story about how she’s defending Trump, who she claimed Trump sued ABC for defamation as Stephanopolous used the word “rape” as opposed to sexual assault. ABC settled the lawsuit for a $15 million donation to Trump’s Presidential Library. She said she should get credit for defending Trump against ABC’s George Stephanopoulos in an interview that she did with the network. She pondered about getting a percentage of the kickback… but settled on just wanting her name “over a women’s bathroom.

MACE: Real men protect women. And Donald Trump has protected women from day one.

Mace spoke at length about the Scott Spivey case - a story of road rage and “Stand Your Ground” laws mixing up with the killing of a man. Just as Mace was to start the town hall, news that the Attorney General wasn’t pursuing the case against the man that killed Spivey dropped. This infuriated Mace and seemingly much of the audience, she said that as Governor she’d be tougher on crime.

Mace humorously insulted the state of Mississippi saying that she didn’t want South Carolina to be behind the state in education. Stating “We're like dead last in outcomes. I mean, we're behind Mississippi. I don't want to be behind Mississippi and Louisiana. I look, if you're from Mississippi, we love you.”

During the Q&A portion Mace only took a handful of questions. Surprisingly they did seem to be from a random group of people. She answered questions on getting fluoride out of the water (she wants to get rid of it) and Chemtrails out of our sky (she wants to ban them).

Mace: You guys and gals literally bleed red, white and blue like it is the MAGA blood. You guys love Donald Trump.
